چکیده
The objective of this video is to identify at-risk postures in vaginal surgery that may lead work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSD) and demonstrate corrective exercises prevent future pain. Vaginal surgeons report high rates WMSDs, yet little education exists on WMSD prevention specific population. In video, we five key problematic WMSDs. These include forward head posture, increased thoracic kyphosis, forceful or prolonged shoulder abduction, cervical lateral flexion, lumbar flexion. We then target each these postures, respectively. repeated retraction, extension, external arm rotation "floating arms," active side bending, extension. Each should be performed 8-10 times per set. Sets twice daily, as well before after surgery, for preventative purposes. Finally, briefly review other ergonomic considerations appropriate surgeon positioning during surgery. teach their corresponding exercises. Given the current gap prevention, such could incorporated into formal didactic training across all levels.
